Enter a place name or post code. It will show you a map.

• Street Map

Enter one of these; Street, Post Code, GB Place, Tel Code, Landranger, Lat , Long, OS grid (x,y)

Then below the map in small writing you will see "Click here to convert/measure coordinates"
This will give you a list of the various location formats for that location.

• Acme Mapper

Uses Google Maps but also gives Lat / Long information
Enter a place name or Lat / Long and it will show Lat / Long location and the nearest town.
It will go to the USA first so for UK towns always add UK. Example :- Cardiff UK

Key in two Lat / Long locations and it will show them both on Google Maps

Example 1

1. Use Acme Mapper and key in "Guildford UK"this will get N 51.23677 W 0.57283
2. Go to the list and scroll down to 51 or use Ctrl F and key in 51.2
3. Sandhurst, Woking, Farnham and Basingstoke are the nearest stations.

Example 2

1. We already have Lat / Long for Guildford; N 51.23677 W 0.57283
2. Use Acme mapper and key in "Greenwich London UK"
   Drag the map so that cursor is on the dome N 51.50237 E 0.00000
3. Go to the Maths Page Key in the data.
4. Click on the link that says "And you can see it on a map"
5. Distance = 49.50 km

Example 2

1. Note; the only system that can convert from Post Code to Lat / Long is Street Map
2. Go to the Street Map site and key in the data, L2 2DH + click "Post Code" Radio Button. Then [Search]
3. Click on the link that says "Click here to convert/measure coordinates" It's below the map.
4. Lat= 53.408541 Long= -2.986164
5. Check with Acme Mapper
